I just responded to one of your posts in another thread. But on paper we are worse this season then last. At forward we lost Cammalleri, replaced Westgarth, Stempniak, and Galiardi with Bollig, Raymond, and Setoguchi. So we are worse there. D stayed about even with Engelland replacing Butler. We got better in goal with Hiller replacing Berra.

Will we perform better? Who knows. Wideman and Glencross could rebound. Baertschi, Gaudreau, or another kid could make us better. Monahan could take a step forward.

Alternatively though Giordano could regress, Monahan could have have a freshman slump, injuries could hurt us, the Flames might have trouble turning effort into wins this time, or they might just have trouble duplicating the effort again.

Its why they play the games. But on paper the Flames have a really horrible roster. I will be watching for prospect development and effort level more than wins this season.
