I have never met a person that goes to Tim's for nationalistic pride.

I definitely agree that their food sucks, but honestly, so does everywhere else. Their coffee sucks as well, but my taste for coffee was ruined by spending so much time in Italy. All the coffee sucks here. I switched to tea, FFS.

What Tim's does well is have thousands of locations, where the menu is the same. I can get a bagel and a tea down the street, across town, in Mulletville, in BC, or in Halifax, and it's the same.

I bet that the places with better food and coffee would do 100x better if they had drive thrus. That's the way in to a Canadian's heart. If I can test your wares without getting out of my truck, and if they're good, then I will become a customer. Next time I might go inside to order. And Starbucks doesn't count. Yes, their coffee and pastries are good, but for $12, I can buy Tim's for myself and two other people.
