I am going there with a buddy for a week! Any suggestions on what I can't miss and must do?

The main question I have is that since I am graduating soon and have my options wide open, I really want to meet people there. I am a commerce major at the University of Calgary with a wide variety of extra-curriculars and good grades and I just want to sit down and have a chat with someone who works there and get some advice. I am not sure if this is possible but it would be really cool to set up a few coffee meetings with local residents over there (or people working downtown).
