I am a huge fan of Poirier and think he can be a dynamite NHLer, but to suggest he is ready to play in the NHL now, and that that is the best place for him, are very different things.

Poirer will be ready. Hes looked very good since and before being drafted. Even at camp last year he looked great. He's got enough size, speed and gifts to play at the NHL, but its his structure that will unknown.
Gaudreau will ready too. I'm willing to bet most fans watching camp will believe Gaudreau and Poirer will stand out more than Jones, Setoguchi and potentially Raymond. But they won't be given a job in the NHL because they CAN be sent down.
