This.
It removes the need to shoehorn guys that might not necessarily be ready into spots when they'd be better served playing in the AHL. It's the exact reason why the Oilers have burned so many of their players. We are only 1.5 years into the rebuild and most of our best prospects have less than 1 full year of professional experience under their belt (Bennett, Gaudreau, Granlund, Klimchuk, Poirier, Sieloff, Jankowski etc). Usually a lot of guys need a good portion of 2 seasons before they are ready to make the leap (unless they are just that good like Monahan)
Setoguchi is a decent placeholder to make sure guys don't get rushed.
