Agreed would rather 750k be spent on Bouma than Setoguchi. Don't like this one at all at the expense of a youngsters spot. Don't think leaving 1 spot open for the 500 kids means they wouldn't have earned it either. I don't think this organization treats young players very well, and hasn't for a number of years.
Is Setoguchi going to block shots and play as hard as Bouma? Not likely. Just seems like not a great message to send. Hey you'll never have a chance to earn it because we always sign retreads that have at some point in their career "proven it".
