A landman can deal with all of those things. A landman is basically the oil/gas company's representative in the field to the landowner, so really any issue between landowner and company usually involve a landman/agent. Some of the most common landman tasks is to sign up freehold landowners to surface/mineral rights agreements, but they do lots of other stuff.
And I think at my company they get paid something like .75/km, and some guys drive 100's of km's a day, nearly every day.
