The Top Five Movies You Have Never Watched
I just wanted to switch things up a bit, so how about a list of the top five movies you have never seen. I am sure we all have a list of movies we've either meant to watch at some point, but have never gotten around to it, or movies we never want to see.
So here's my list:
1. Blade Runner - I have no excuse for not watching this yet. I picked up the 5-disc blu-ray, but could never settle on which version to watch first. My expectations have always been sky high for it, even though I've never actually watched it. Another issue it that it never seems to be on television, where it's usually easier to watch the random movie, rather than planning on watching a DVD.
2. Gone With the Wind - I am sure many people haven't seen it, so it might make many lists, but the reason I place it so high is because I never plan on watching it. Gone With the Wind holds no interest for me, and I rarely find people from current generations that hold the movie in such a high regard. My parents may love it, but I doubt it's for me. So it has the distinction of being the only movie listed I'll never watch.
3. A Clockwork Orange - Aside from Barry London and parts of Eyes Wide Shut I have seen all of Kubrick's work, with the exception of Clockwork. I am sure I'll get to it eventually, as once again I do own the blu-ray. Many of my friends love the movie, but it always seemed "too strange" of a concept for my taste. Another one I will try and watch soon, but haven't yet.
4. Most Pixar movies since Finding Nemo - The only Pixar/animated movies I've actually seen since about 2000 were Toy Story 3, The Lego Movie, and The Simpsons Movie. I don't really have any reason for it (considering all the crap I've watched over the year), but I just don't like animated movies like I used to. Maybe if I have kids someday I'll go back to them, but I should really watch The Incredibles and Up one of these days.
5. The Incredible Hulk - I was having trouble thinking of my fifth choice, but this is really the only comic book movie I have never seen (aside from Jonah Hex). I like everyone involved as well, just wasn't really into the whole Marvel kick at the time; it even took me a few years to watch the first Iron Man movie. Another movie I've planned on watching occasionally, but just don't see a reason why I need to watch it that badly.
HM: True Romance, Jackie Brown, Blazing Saddles, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (only because it's Fincher), Raging Bull, American Graffiti, among others.
