What exactly is being protested at this point? I don't totally understand... is there a goal to the protest, or is it just the general mistreatment of the black population by the local police? Or is there something I'm totally missing in the first place?
I guess I don't get it because now that the teenager has been killed, what is the protesting trying to achieve? Just to drum up awareness I guess?
I find that protesting never really achieves anything. It gets the message out but does anyone really believe that U.S. will ever be able to change any of its' systemic issues without a revolution?
