Nexus 5 owner to OPO here... lets see the main differences here off the top of my head. Better camera (and app), 4K video recording!, much much better build quality (device is beautiful... just look at the tolerances for the sim card slot), much faster performance, more storage, lower price, cyanogenmod 11s features like gestures, etc.
You will be happier with an OPO but it's by no means a huge generational leap in capabilities. If you are looking to get rid of your phone/can get a decent price selling it or have broken your phone, this is probably your best choice as a replacement atm. If you are content on the Nexus... the difference is improved camera, nicer feeling phone and performance may not be enough to warrant an upgrade. Depends on what you are looking for in a phone. I do miss a few things from the Nexus like Qi wireless charging.
