This guy should have remained Hawks property until he was UFA age eligible, I think it is garbage these guys can just walk after 4 years or whatever it is. In the end it doesn't really matter, Hayes has a small chance imo to be a top 6 player but is more likely going to be a 3rd line/4th line role player. It would have been nice to add him just in case I am wrong but not a big deal if he lands elsewhere.
