I would agree we're seeing this forum and others being overly focused on the Hayes sweepstakes. Its interesting to watch but I would be pretty surprised to find that he and his agent chose the Flames because his former line-mates were here. That should not factor into his decision.
The decision should be based upon what helps him succeed. If he thinks his former line-mates help bring him to the NHL, so be it, but that's weak. You have to be the best of the best to make a regular role in the NHL. Chemistry with two specific prospects out of thousands is not the way to choose.
Would like to have him for "free", but Boston or NYR are good fits too.
