The space you are designing a logo for is a long horizontal space, and you have presented a series of square logos, failing to use most of the space. As well, the majority of your logo becomes unreadable when it is scaled down to the size of presentation (240x125). This is a failing of the current logo as well, probably a motivator for a new logo.
On to player outlines, the Monahan image is terrible. It looks like he's got one really short leg, so unless you are going for a pirate theme, a guy with a short leg doesn't look good. Unless you have the photo to get what he's doing, the whole outline is going to be lost on those unfamiliar with the original image. McGrattan? Well no comment. On to the outline images you selected, outside of the MLB logo, which is a classic, the other ones have aged. The NBA logo features a player in short shorts, that haven't been in use since the 80's. The NHLPA logo is a bad layering of a player on tube skates, not seen since the 70's. Those could use an update themselves. Love the Air Jordan logo, though. Classic! Skylines do age quickly, and could require immediate updates. Some of the treatments shown are very cool, but as new buildings pop up it does make the graphic look dated. Just something to guard against IMO.
I stand corrected.

Thanks for the constructive feedback.
I don't love the 'Grats either, I was just asked for it so I'm providing it.
The NHLPA have updated their logo:

but those were more examples of how player silhouettes have been used and are well loved. If you don't like those logos selected, that's fine. But the majority of the world does. They could update, and maybe the NBA will give him longer shorts; but not likely as people are looking for a silhouette that speaks to the game and the history of the game and not exactly how the players look today. If they did, the early 90's iteration would have had a sweet flat to-- wait... I retract that, as it'd have been awesome:
As far as scaling, I have checked that. I've put up a few screenshots, but they've all been scaled down. I also have been attaching a much smaller iteration to all of the recent logos to show how the concept can be scaled down.
But here's 100%:
And the scaled down version (blurry, as I had to enlarge it to fit and I couldn't be bothered to export at a higher resolution):
So they definitely work and are quite legible. 'Unofficial Calgary Flames Community' isn't meant to be immediately apparent, more of a design touch. What should be apparent are the bold classic Flames colours, "Calgarypuck", and the primary image.
Monahan having a peg-leg is good criticism, as it tells me that the tiny stroke I added to emphasize a raised knee is not apparent.
