Think of maybe a guy like Roman Hamrlik, but he spent a decade with the team. A cornerstone player, that didn't hog the spotlight, but was a player that undoubtedly made the team better. But did it quietly without taking the spotlight. Without a doubt he should be way ahead of Gelinas, but this result is more a reflection of the age demographic of the board, not the impact of the player.

Big assumption your part. I watched Reinhart as a Flame closely. I know how good he was. I voted Gelinas for reasons outlined. I see others who have done the same who I know are in the older crowd.
Don't dismiss how people choose to vote as an age thing. Gelinas and Reinhart are both valid choices.
