There are eight years remaining on the Flames/Sportsnet deal, IIRC.

And outcome of a lawsuit in the US will have no impact at all on the legality of the practice in Canada. Though if successful, one can predict someone associated with the Maple Leafs to try a similar lawsuit in Canada.
