Having walked that street recently and from the pictures, it is damn clear that jay walking in that fashion is a pretty dumb idea. You are either going to block road traffic or eat the hood of a car for breakfast just to save walking a couple maybe 50 more meters in total. And it's not like it's bad weather out!
