Obviously they aren't, or he wouldn't have been demoted. He also still has a lot to learn about being a pro, which he continued to struggle with at the AHL level. I hope the Flames invested some time and energy into working with him this summer to help him progress, even if that meant getting him a full-time live-in trainer. Baertschi should be in the gym every day and watching video every night. If he shows that type of commitment he'll make a big impression on Burke/Treliving, and that will also show up on the ice during training camp.
