The only joke that I remember is when Green Lantern's girlfriend calls Superman 'hot' at the end. I also had to watch the whole movie a second time in order to really enjoy it. Once I realized...
1) Zod is the hero
2) Jor-El is the villain
3) The suit Superman was wearing wasn't really intended for him, but is perhaps form fitting to any member of his family, eliminating an annoying plot hole (at least in my mind)
4) A constant evil Jor-Elian genes vs. good Kansasian upbringing internal battle allowing him to save the planet whist also watching thousands die around him and slaughtering his enemy.
5) Lois Lane's sassiness will increase once her coffee intake reaches Betty Ford levels, around movie 3.
Suddenly Man of Steel was very watchable. Also, DC does have some very witty characters, which look like they won't be appearing in SvB. So prepare for a boatload of grimness.
