Mission is an interesting option. It would be a desirable location to live but looks like it is quite expensive. Also wasn't Mission one of the hardest hit areas during the floods last year?
Is it pretty much determined that the new rink will either be a few blocks north of the current saddledome or the west village? That could be a huge boost for Sunalta.
Then again look at how long it has taken the east village to start developing. The west village could take another 25+ years.

Problems being cost and quality related for the current market. I wish I was looking a year ago, could have saved a bit for the same areas as now. It may get better with the seasons changing soon.
I recommend looking up flood maps as well, as sellers aren't always disclosing the damage done.
