I don't see how any person having seen Yelle and Patterson could even suggest Backlund is in the same class, never mind suggest he's a better player than both???

Very strange post.

Do you have a rationale? You mentioned he kills penalties??

Both Yelle and Patterson we're amongst the best penalty killers of their respective eras...Patterson was recognized as one of the top Def Forwards in the NHL, and yet was still under-rated, IMO.

In what area of the game is Backlund a superior player???
