Recognize I have a bit of personal bias but a little love for Backlund... I think the other two were very good defensive role players but Backlund is a better all around player than either; he plays great d and is an amazing penalty killer as well but contributes more offence than the other two.
Both the other two have cup run shines but I think Backlund shouldn't be penalized for playing on a worse team.
Also his determination to make it to where he is after so many setbacks where the kid could have left for sweden or boiled over, his character and the way he came in and led Kelowna to a whl title... Always will be a special player to me personally.
I can see why folks would say he needs to do it for a few more years. I think he will be number one in this poll in a few years if he doesn't get dealt.
