I do things for no reason whatsoever, just because. You do the same, it's just that humans are excellent at post-facto reasoning so you don't even realize it.
Am I a better person than you because I realize this? Well, maybe, and maybe not, but definitely less involved in justifying myself and my motivations, and also less uptight about what other people may do and think, as long as it's not actually affecting me. Stare at my dong all you want, for example - it is a fine, healthy specimen of which I begrudge you no joy in being fascinated.
