That isn't what was said though. It was more like, why are car guys calling people out as jerks for parking next to them, when they have no reason to think that it was some intentional slight to them.
Unless you frequent that parking lot every day, how would you know you didn't just park in a place that somebody uses as their regular park & ride spot; other people have come and gone since you parked; or have some other motivation for parking there, like myself and others have said, it is just on a whim that you got tired of hunting for a parking spot and just took the first one you saw when you gave up.
Instead, people's psyche goes to this dark place where the only possible reason to park there is that they must trying to screw around with you.
