^Well said John and Photon. Consideration for others has really has really spiralled down hill lately. Yes anyone is free to park wherever in the lot they want to, just like am free to hold the door open for complete strangers while others are free to let it slam in their face.
People who choose to park their vehichles at a distance from all others have a reason, whatever it may be. A dog in the car, saftey, inexperienced/ new driver, "car guy". A real DB would be the one who goes out of their way to park next to car parked far away. My neighboor who is 65 ish told me while at the bank he parked his Caddy 2 rows back and 8 spots over from the nearest car. When he came out, there was someone pasrked right next to him, so he spit a huge loogie on their windshield. I laughed and told him someone parking that far away was likely an employee, he said he didn't "really care"
If I'm in my work truck (which is huge) I try to park where I have the best in and out access from the lot to the street, doesnt matter how long the walk is really, and we have a pull through, back in parking policy. In the wifes little car I George Costanza it.
