So much hate for "car guys."
Look, they are going out of their way to park further away, leaving the more convenient closer spots for everyone else.
If the lot is full/busy then it's a completely different story. But if there's tons of empty spots and someone with a nice car is parking extremely far away by themselves why would you choose to park immediately next to them? Your alternatives are to park closer in a more convenient spot, or to also park far away if you enjoy the exercise, in one of the other dozens of empty spots that aren't right next to that car.
Yes it's technically your right to park wherever. But said "car guy" has purposely parked far away in order to minimize the chance of getting their doors dinged. They want to be left alone, why not respect those wishes?
Seems like a lot of jealous posters driving automatic beige Camrys here who insist on being "that guy" which is strange since most of CP is supposedly part of the 1% and probably drive really nice vehicles.
It's not any different than being that guy that chooses to take the urinal right next to the other guy in the bathroom instead of one of the other 10 available ones. It's within your right, but why be that guy?
