I don't think that, nor did I ever say that... at least I'm not the only delusional one in this thread.

You seem to be hung up on the fact that we're talking about cars, why don't we switch it to something else? I don't care about you or anything you own either, but I'm not going to carelessly damage your things. This is fundamental human courtesy, is it not? Why are cars exempt from this fundamental courtesy because they are the first thing that comes to mind when one thinks of material possessions?

How is this different than me letting my dog crap all over your lawn because, like Chill Cosby, I only care about my own lawn? I realize you care about your lawn, but don't act like I care about the fact that my dog is ####ting all over your lawn because nobody but you cares about your lawn.

No... I don't let my dog crap all over your lawn, because despite not caring about you, I have some human decency.

You seem to be hung up on the idea that most people who park beside other people at going to ding doors. You have a weird obsession with the idea that parking close = vehicle damage, and 99% of the time that isn't true.

Trust me, most people are exactly as careful as that. Getting your door dinged is an aberration, not the norm.

That's the only reason I don't understand what you're talking about. To use your own example, it's like getting mad when someone walks their dog past your lawn, because you assume every dog within a foot of your lawn is going to take a dump on it.

It's crazy. Not human decency. Crazy.
