That's ridiculous.
Door dings don't wreck cars, it's almost impossible. It's a dick move, but it's not wrecking your car.
It's fine to care about your car, but don't act like Resolute is the bad guy because he doesn't car about your car, nobody but you cares about your car.
Car guys, while I disagree with the fundamental idea of caring that much about material goods, are a fine bunch. That said, I think they're seen as in the "wrong" when they think everyone else is out to get them and is suddenly a disrespectful second class citizen for parking anywhere near them.
It's just a bit of silliness. Have your set of rules if you want, but don't be mad that nobody else cares about them.
