Did you even read his earlier post? He specifically said that people who ding other people's doors are being disrespectful.

And he's right. As long as you stay within the designated lines, there's
nothing wrong with parking in a vacant spot even if it happens to be next to another parked vehicle. People who think that parking near the edge of the lot entitles them to a private buffer zone are delusional.
