Well if you consider "
all time" teams then they most certainly are. They were both called the Winnipeg Jets.
If we were looking for an all time best Atlanta player I would consider both the Atlanta Flames and the Thrashers. The fact that there was some carry over from the Atlanta to Calgary Flames means squat when you talk about this.
