You'd think from the AG's logic that Texas was being asked to decide between only same-sex couples or only opposite-sex couple for child-rearing.
Wealthy families are probably more positioned to raise children without adding 'societal costs' than poor families, so perhaps Texas should ban poor-people marriages too.
