I think its a really interesting model. For example I am interested in buying the new NHL and FIFA pretty much every year, but I would never get the other games (battlefield, madden). However, if they came free with the subcription and I get the discount on the latest NHL and FIFA, then why not have access to all that extra content.
Also, with the 5 day early access it would be nice to see if the improvements for sports games are marginal and worth the purchase each year. Otherwise keep the subscription and keep playing the old version.
I think its a no brainer for people who aren't up on the latest and greatest games and don't pre-order. Pay a low annual fee and get a selection (which will only increase) of a variety of games on your Xbox to keep you busy.
Interesting model and I think things like this are going to happen more and more in the gaming industry.
