Neeper,

You are the resident photographer here on CP so i wanted to drop a couple questions on you. 8 years ago I did a course in TV and Radio and part of it was composition techniques. Now I'm thinking I'd really like to take a small course in photography. Do you know if there are any evening or weekend courses offered here in Calgary?

Secondly, I am looking into buying a camera now and wanted to ask you what you use and if you don't mind answering, what you paid for it? Obviously I'm not at the same stage as you where you are doing it professionally, but as someone who would like to take it up as a hobby and see where it takes me. I know there are tons of options out there and was thinking taking a course first would help me get a better idea of what would be good for me. I know for a starter it would be well advised to get something more basic, but I'm not the type of person to buy something 'nice' for $300 if I can get something 'great' for $600-$700, if you know what I'm saying.

Anyhow, just thought you'd be the best one to ask. Nice looking site, btw.

This is the one I'm currently looking at:
Canon EOS(SLR) Digital Rebel XT

EDIT: Also forgot to ask, I know there is a Canon Repair store on 16 st in the NE but didn't know if they actually sold cameras. So I was wondering where the best place to go to buy (the camera I provided the link to) would be? Places with good service and so forth?

Thanks in advance.
