Just ask yourself these questions. If Reimer was such a good goalie why were the Leafs trying to trade for Luongo? When that didn't happen, they went and got a younger goalie then Reimer in Bernier and made him the starter.
Not to mention, how long has he been on the block now? If he was that coveted then some team would've traded for him, you know how the Leafs traded for Bernier. Tampa traded for Lindback and then Bishop. Edmonton traded for Fasth and Scrivens. Colorado traded for Varlamov. Columbus traded for Bobrovsky. NJ with Schneider. Pretty much all these guys were in the same boat as Reimer not long ago and they have new homes and Reimer doesn't, not yet at least.
Your rants about his save percentage, Leafs were allowing a ton of shots last year so theoretically his save percentage will be high as a shot through wouldn'teaffect the sv% when you face 50 shots. Yet both Beriner and Mcintyre easily had better save % then Reimer.
I like Reimer the player, but he's a backup goalie anyone trying to sell him as better then that is only fooling themselves. Good Day!
