I think you're going to get that from a lot of players. Every player in that 2/3rd line role will bring something to the team and at the same time have deficiencies in their games. A good team is built of players with different and complementing skill sets. I think Glencross brings a couple of different elements to the Flames that are important. I also think you're hoping for a lot from the young players coming up in the Flames system. These young fringe 2/3rd liners are all going to have deficiencies in their game as well, even after they develop. Overall, I think Glencross brings more than he takes away from this team and is a bargain at his contract. I'd be in favour of extending him minus the NMC/NTC clause at a reasonable price. EDIT: Of course assuming he continues to play well this season and stay healthy after last season's health problems.
