Wrong, he was one of the top CF in the game last year by WAR and there was talk of him getting a contract similar to Upton. Now that may be tempered a bit by his struggles this year, but there is still just less than half the year left and Rasmus is streaky. He will likely go on an absolute tear at some point.

Either way, he'll get more than you think.
I actually don't think he will. (Depending what you consider more then I think)

Teams are beginning to realize 1 dimensional players aren't worth the big money.

Rasmus plays poor defense. He owns a -0.7 Def WAR. Only Melky and EE are worst on the Jays, and Rasmus missed time.

He owns a .274 OBP which is beyond pathetic. His offensive WAR is 0.9. Basically he is an replacement type player

Last season was an outlier in his career. Here are his WAR #'s for the past 4 years with Toronto

2011 -1.1
2012: 1.2
2013: 4.8
2014: 0.1

I do not think the Jays will even qualify Rasmus at this point.

He will need to sign a 1-2 year deal at 5 mil/per to prove himself IMO. After this season the big contract potential has faded away

With all teams now using it. the shift has killed Rasmus. Just like all left handed power hitters.

This is a terrific article explaining the death of the left handed power hitter:
