Well, Glencross is looking for a 'fair' contract, not a home-town discount. As long as the Flames don't re-sign him for something stupid (especially term) I don't really mind it. He can help to shelter the youth, as when he is on his game he is good at keeping up with the top players.
I would expect that not having a 'home-town discount' contract would therefore not include any trade/movement clause of any kind. It is fine if he wants to exchange money for that security, but you can't have it both ways when you start figuring that Glencross is expendable in the long run.
