You're probably right about Klimchuk - Sharp is another player I think could fall in that vein as well being good goal scorers and able to play up and down the lineup. Kunitz might be more aggressive, but I think Klimchuk could play the forechecking role too.
In Monahan's case he was highly touted for his playmaking skills in junior.
When he made the team last year, I think he was forced to play the goal scoring role by default because he was the best finisher in the lineup outside of Cammalleri and maybe Glencross. With some decent goal scorers on his wing Monahan might have had a 20 goal/20 assist rookie season.
