could it have been cheaper if i shopped around? probably. but why? simply go to the dealership next door and get a car there. they serve you an espresso upon entry, they come to your office to pick up your car for oil changes... and "wear and tear" repairs don't happen at 60k. the car from this dealership is over 100k now (sold it 1.5 years ago to a friend). nothing but fluids, brake pads (but had a couple of recalls).
You pay thousands for that convenience factor. Two sets of tires should have been 2-3k not 5. I just took the run flats that came on my BMW off and replaced them with Michelin Pilot summer tires for $1,300 installed, if I did it through the dealer it would have been double. Any vehicle is a rip off if you do everything through the dealer, including my domestic truck. $140/hr shop rates and 200% mark up on parts adds up awfully fast.
