Exactly. That, and $6M is probably fine for a player that you don't give up any assets to get. Everyone saw what high priced rentals cost this year..... nothing. Colorado is better off just keeping him for the 2 years till he hits UFA then seeing him walk, and hoping their team goes somewhere in the next 2 years... my bet is ROR walks and the Avs get nothing after those 2 years.
