Forgive me for my cynicism, but plenty of posters like me will have seen Brent Krahn & Leland Irving excelling in the AHL for years before $#!ttimg the bed at the NHL level. His results in the AHL far from guarantee success in the NHL. His cameo with the Flames looked very promising, mind.
1 season does not a prospect make, and Ortio is only 2 years removed from being a complete failure in all levels of pro North American hockey. Based on playing style and pedigree I think Ortio is a solid prospect, but 1 solid season of results (after 2 or 3 poor years) shouldn't justify him being in our top 10, especially when the pool is getting so deep.
