If Christy Clark decided to fire rockets into Washington state in order to 'force' the US to give back british N America regardless of the wishes of the population the US would respond violently, the deaths would on Christies head.
If Hamas attacks Israel knowing full well Israel will shoot back they are responsible for the consequences.

I agree with you that regardless of what you feel about the creation of Israel, too many generations have passed to want that decision reversed. Israel is a fait accompli and is one of the reasons I disagree with the Palestinian right of return demand. However, your example doesn't tell the whole story. A more accurate one would be that the US says it wants peace, but continues to build in Kelowna and move its settlers there. I don't know how many times I've brought this up, but there are no rockets/hamas in the West bank, but israel continues to build settlements there. So, what's israel's excuse in that situation?
