Looks like a pretty nice phone but I don't see where the embedded diamonds are hiding.
As far as learning good spending habits, I would really recommend moving out of your parents house. I have known so many people who are very reluctant to do this because they are so used to never having any bills but this is hands down the best way to learn. Actually, I'm a little surprised how in Calgary so many parents seem reluctant to let their kids leave home. My parents booted my ass and bought me some luggage. It seems like everyone wants to own their first residence after moving out and this surprises me.
Yes, starting out on your own is hard but it sounds like you have zero debt right now and you make decent money. I suggest getting your feet wet and heading out on your own.
