It's really interesting to see the margins of victory in each round so far compared to last year. In last year's poll, Monanan won with less than 50% of the vote, and then Gillies (round 4 = 45%), Wotherspoon (round 6 = 35%), Sieloff (round 7 = 38%), and Knight (round 8 = 39%) all also fell under 50%. This year, after six rounds, Klimchuk is so far the only player to garner less than 50% of the vote in round 6, with 45.5%.
I'm not sure what it means at this point, but it is interesting to me that even though the pool looks much deeper this year than last year, the results for each player are also consistently stronger. To me, that says a lot about how strong the Flames' pool is right now.
