Because I, as an American, really appreciate it when those from other countries ask/expect/demand American money and people be spent and used in an effort to obtain world peace.
And because as a US taxpayer, I'm getting a tad tired of funding the job of world policeman, particularly when, in so doing, the other countries that receive the benefit of the US' involvement has the audacity to complain about the US' efforts.*
If you want world peace, why don't you lobby Canada (or whatever your home country and citizenship is) to step up to the plate?
* Not to mention the ability to take the funds that they would otherwise spend on "defense" matters and allocate them to things that I would greatly like to have, like, say, national health care.
