Is this "unsuitable" in obvious hindsight, or were there actual restrictions to civilian aircraft in this area. Considering Lufthansa and the FAA have instructed planes to avoid the area it would appear to be the former. Not sure what Sky's sources mean here. |
Someone else posted earlier that American airliners were instructed yesterday to not fly over the area.
