Or that it happened in the same area that 2 Ukrainian planes were recently shot down in.
The only people using military planes right now in the area are the Ukrainians, and perhaps the Russians. There is no way the Ukrainians would be attempting shoot down a Russian plane at this point, because they know it would pretty much end them in this conflict. Russia just wants one reason to roll over Ukraine, and that would be it.
Unless it is a conspiracy, the most logical scenarios are that the plane crashed for reasons unrelated to the conflict and the location is just a coincidence, or that the separatists shot it down because they lack proper training on identifying planes. Just my opinion.
