Other teams haven't been around since eternity though. Before 1967 there weren't any other non-winning teams fans to speak of, so technically Leafs fans have been the ones waiting the longest. For me a teams clock starts the year they come into the league.
If we consider only non-winners, St. Louis would be the longest (and also the Stars, if you look at them as a franchise, instead of city).
