Seems a bit early to be praising the drafting, when no Flames draft pick has shown much, if anything, at the NHL level yet. That's not a knock on Sven or Brodie or Johnny, or even Backlund, but they still have a lot left to prove before we can make the claim that the Flames have even stepped up to average in that category.
