Like I said before, Raymond is a good player to have on a nonplayoff team as he provides speed and skill but he doesn't make the team harder to play against.

Raymond is a western Canadian guy who values playing close to home. Its no secret he's been looking to play for the Flames for a while. Should have happened last year but we'll probably never know why. I'd suspect that the leafs probably wanted him back based on his season last year and why wouldn't they? He chose to be here as a UFA.
He want's to be here, is a solid two way contributor and even if he is making a bit more then he should what does it matter for the flames? Overpaying by 500k isn't going to kill them anymore then it does by overpaying wideman.
