Holy crap that is an ugly lineup. That may be the worst lineup in the NHL from a skill perspective. Hudler is the only "skill" guy in the mix. That would have to be the favorite for McDavid. Tough to play against, but a consistent loser. That team would have to keep the goals against below two to stand a chance on a consistent basis. This is going to be a north-south team where every goal scored is ugly. Could be fun to watch.

Best way to get McDavid without intentionally losing... or is it actually an attempt to tank? Tough to tell. No one will be able to accuse the players or Bob Hartley of not trying hard enough.
It'll be fun when the youngsters get their call-ups throughout the season. Perhaps Bennett & Klimchuk get their 9 games of glory before they go back to junior. Poirier is a wild card; I get this strange feeling he can handle the NHL. If David Jones plays how he did in the 2nd half of the season I think he'll be shipped out for a bag of pucks and Poirier could be an excellent replacement. You have to wonder how long Treliving is planning on keeping Stajan around, with Arnold, Granlund and Knight all looking like capable replacements and Sam Bennett only a year or two away.
I think it's going to be a really interesting season. I hope Max Reinhart plays a big part in it.
